The CES 2019 fair served up quite a few interesting things, including the BMW North Face Futurelight Camper Concept holiday concept, which is the result of a collaboration between the BMW Designworks department and the North Face sportswear brand.
BMW Designworks is the department in charge of cooperation with other partners, pri shaping a better future. One of the many partners is a company The North Face, and the result of the collaboration is the futuristic concept of a 'holiday trailer' Futurelight Concept. Compact 'tent trailer' offers a safe haven from adverse weather conditions.
The outer layer of the trailer is covered with material Futurelight, which provides water resistance and breathing material, with use microscopically small ones holes, which they leave air. At BMW, they stretched the material to dome structure, which is made of carbonaceous fiber. There is enough space in the trailer for two persons, and the trailer can be attached to the car and towed to the desired location, just like any other trailer. The concept will provide a dry overnight stay after exploring the snowy landscape. Unfortunately, we don't know how it is with the heating, but in all probability no one was thinking about it, because it is only concept and the presentation of the material of the future, which will be used by the North Face brand.
