CES 2019: Lovot is the first robot to which you will get emotionally attached

The bonds between a human and their pet are considered to be very strong. This is precisely why it is absurd to think that robots would successfully replace animals in the future. Technology disagrees. At the CES 2019, they presented a very special robot, Lovot, which should be really easy to get attached to.

Lovot, produced by the company Groove X, was presented at the technology fair CES 2019.

The robot is designed with the desire to be human emotionally connects and receive him as a member of the family, and he will soften your heart with lovely eyes. They are spread across his fluffy body 50 sensors, which allow it to respond to every touch.

The device on top of his head consists of microphone and of three cameras with artificial intelligence. Thanks to the latter, Lovot will recognize up to 1000 people.

Lovot is with you unfortunately he won't be able to talk. When you look at it a little more closely, you will find that it does it has no mouth. By behavior otherwise resembles a real pet. If you cuddle him in your arms, he will fall asleep, while if you are too rough with him, he will quickly warn you about it. Fashionistas will be delighted by the fact that it is possible dress to order. You can also equip it with some other accessories, such as a bag.

The main difference between Lovot and already launched robots that wanted to forge special bonds with humans is mainly in appearance. At Groove X, they didn't decide to cold metal structure, but they dressed their robot in warm fur. The fact that the owners will become more attached to their new pet in this way is not in doubt.

Lovot, which is already possible to pre-order, but also has weaknesses. Its battery life is only one hour. When it detects a power deficit, it will automatically go to charging stations. It will cost a small fortune. Its price is 3000 $, which calculated amounts to 2610 €, and it will be available to the first buyers in the year 2020.
