Introduced at CES 2020, the Insta360 One R camera allows for 4K footage as well as 360-degree footage.
Another company has joined the race for the best action camera Insta360. Although he already has a few other action cameras in his repertoire, the new model One R definitely stands out the most. This model, which was presented at CES 2020, offers a very interesting feature: modularity. Quite a few companies have already tried this in several areas, but all the attempts failed miserably in the end. Insta360, however, in our opinion, offers a complete enough package, in order to actually be able to convince a larger number of users.
As mentioned, the new One R camera will be modular. It will be assembled from three parts: from batteries, from cases with a processor, input for memory cards and output for USB and from lenses. With the latter, you can choose between normal, ultra wide lens for recordings in resolution 4K/60 frames and honey 5.7K resolution 360° lens. We hope for a third in the future ultra wide lenses, which will carry the company's optics Leica, boasted with larger sensor (size 2.54 cm) and recorded in 5.3K resolution. All three lenses will recorded in RAW format and they will stabilized with the FlowState function. This type of stabilization will also help k extremely good night shots. Despite the modular design, the entire device is waterproof up to 5 meters.
By far the most praise goes to the software part of the Insta360 experience, as it should be the application is very simple to use. The built-in AI even reviews the footage itself and suggests the best frames. It helps the layman with advice on how to shoot something and how many shots are needed for a reasonably long final shot. Price for Twin Edition, in which we get both lenses, both 4K and 360°, costs 480 dollars. It is individual 4K Edition $300, 360 Edition well 450 dollars. Lens 1-Inch Edition, which will also be decorated with the Leica company logo, will stand 550 dollars.
