Get ready. In 36 months, you won't be able to tell the difference between reality and artificial intelligence hallucination on the internet. A tsunami of "deep fake" videos generated in real time is coming, so convincing that video evidence in court will be worth no more than a used tissue. The world is shaking. Silicon Valley is panicking.
In Slovenia? We'll open a beer.. Why? Because we already live in a simulation since 1991. We have politicians who look like people, but are actually programmed to repeat three phrases. We have a healthcare system that works superbly on paper, but in reality is falling apart. My dears, mediocre A Slovenian doesn't even trust his grandmother, when he says that the potica is fresh. We are immune to fakes because fakes are our national sport.
But the real revolution won't be AI generating the new face of the Prime MinisterThe real revolution will be in who this technology will send to the employment service. And this is where we Slovenians have a serious problem.
We are raising a generation of “coders,” “digital marketers,” and bureaucrats who think that sitting at a computer and flipping through data is a safe job. They are wrong. Artificial intelligence is coming for the mediocre. If your job is to summarize information, write generic emails, translate texts, or type mediocre code – you are dead. AI does it in a nanosecond, for free, and without a snack. AI will wipe out the middle class of office “paper flippers” faster than FURS blocks the account of the company.
And here we run into a Slovenian pathology: Mamahotel. We have created a “zoo” of young people, aged 25+, who we still pay their mortgages to because they are “gods”. In doing so, we have taken away from them the only tool that could save them from AI apocalypse – resourcefulness and tough skin. AI knows no union. AI doesn't know sick leave. The AI will compete with your “sun” 24/7. And if your sun thinks the world owes it something just for breathing, the algorithm will eat it for breakfast.
Who will survive? Ironically – those who get their hands dirty. While the “intellectuals” will tremble because ChatGPT 8.0 wrote better lawsuit than a lawyer, the plumber will be king. The electrician will be a god.
Why? Because AI can't come to your closet and physically connect those three wires so that this powerful intelligence can even have electricity. Infrastructure needs hands. So the biggest investment today? Not a degree in sociology. But a set of quality tools and the knowledge of how to use them.
The world is rushing into an era, where “intelligence” will become cheap because AI will offer it for free. What is human, unique, and physical will be precious. Slovenia still dreams of secure jobs in public administration.
In 36 months, you'll be looking at a completely generated world on your screen. The only thing that will still be brutally real will be the bill the handyman gives you for fixing your faucet. And that bill will be higher than your salary.
👇 The million euro question: Do you raise a child to compete with an algorithm, or do you raise them to know how to fix an algorithm (or at least a washing machine)?
