Chevrolet Equinox 2025: Transformation of the Iconic SUV

New image 2025 Chevrolet Equinox it's not just random. Chevrolet pursued its vision of a more solid, vertical design language similar to the Traverse and Trailblazer models. With slimmer daytime running lights placed elegantly on top of the lights and a larger, predominantly rectangular grille, the Equinox receives a modern, bold look. At the rear, there are narrow, sharp lights that give the SUV a decisive look. The interior is accompanied by an equally modern touch with large dual screens – a standard 11-inch driver display and an 11.3-inch infotainment screen. Although they are not combined under one screen, they are placed together, which 2025 Chevrolet Equinox gives a modern digital interior. The console shifter has been replaced by an electronic column-mounted lever, but fans of manual controls won't be disappointed - the usual tactile controls, including climate settings and standard heated seats, are still available.

Chevrolet it doesn't skimp on standard equipment, especially when it comes to assistance and safety functions. A package Chevy Safety Assist includes enhanced lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking with collision warning and pedestrian/cyclist braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic warning with automatic braking, lane change warning, rearview camera and more more.

In terms of equipment levels, it is the main novelty for the year 2025 Equinox Activ. It's Chevrolet's new ruggedly themed offering, which we've seen on other SUV models, and includes a fair amount of black trim with a special grille and 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires. Inside the Activ we find Evotex material with "suede seating surfaces."

Regardless of the trim level chosen, there is only one engine option under the hood: a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 175 horsepower. On front-wheel-drive models, it's mated to a CVT with a peak torque of 184 pound-feet, while all-wheel-drive versions get an eight-speed automatic and 203 lb-ft of torque. To make the most of this (at least on the RS and Activ trims), there's a drive mode selector button on the center console that toggles between normal, snow and off-road driving modes, although off-road mode is only available on all-wheel-drive models drive.

"This generation of Equinox adopts a broad-shouldered, athletic look that exudes confidence and versatility," said Phil Zak, executive director of design at Chevrolet. "We focused on different looks and materials for the LT, RS and Activ so that everyone can see themselves in the Equinox."
