We love making muffins because they are incredibly easy to make and there are 1001 variations of this delicious pastry. This time we present you a recipe for Christmas muffins.
For holiday-scented muffins, we need:
– 1 1/4 cups of flour
– 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda
– 3/4 cup of sugar
– 1/2 cup of cocoa
– 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
– 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
– 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
– 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
– 1/4 teaspoon of salt
– 1 large egg
– 3/4 cup of apple or orange juice
– 3/4 cup of milk
– 1/4 cup of melted butter or margarine
Instructions: First, mix flour, baking soda, sugar, cocoa, walnuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, beat the egg and add apple or orange juice, milk and butter to obtain a smooth mass. Then combine the wet and dry mixture and mix until the mass is completely smooth. Using a tablespoon, pour the mixture into the muffin tins, in which we previously placed the paper tins (or just use disposable paper tins, but then the muffins don't have such a nice shape). The muffins are then baked in a preheated oven at 175 C for about 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the muffin remains clean.
