If we drive from Kranje towards Jezerske and follow the signs for the village of Predoslje, the Krištof Inn will be waiting for us on the side of the road. The seven-hundred-year tradition of running the inn remains in the family, and today their main principle is to return to the roots and that man has always lived and survived with nature. They are the first inn in Slovenia to have a certificate that they can serve organic food. They offer organic, organic vegan, organic meat and conventional dishes. Their range of bio juices, bio teas, bio coffee, bio beer or vegan chocolate milk is particularly interesting. We can try pear, plum, orange and lemon bio juice with ginger and mint. Among the organic meat dishes, lamb from Solčava protected lamb, Pohorje beef - organic beef goulash with bread dumpling, organic turkey are highlighted. For lovers of seafood, they prepare fish grown with the best organic feed or crayfish. When preparing food, they strive to use as much wild food as possible, such as horsetail or nettles. At the same time, they intertwine Slovenian tradition with global gourmet innovations. Their uniqueness also lies in the fact that they use revitalized water when preparing food, as the dishes last longer. Already from the entrance, we can see two terraces, on which our view is obscured by vines. Here, in the pleasant shade, we are served food in the warmer months. In winter, culinary specialties are enjoyed inside, where the ambiance eloquently explains the long tradition. Antique paintings and furniture in harmony with organic food preparation take many people back to a time when nature was still a matter of course.
