Imagine a minivan that not only transports the family to training sessions, but also takes you off-road where the road ends. The Chrysler Pacifica Grizzly Peak concept is just that – raised, equipped for adventure and packed with sleeping space. Could this be the future of family travel? Read on to find out why this concept is exciting for van-life enthusiasts.

Chrysler Pacifica Grizzly Peak concept based on the standard Pacifica Limited AWD, which means that reliable powertrains are humming under the hood. 3.6 liter V6 engineThis one can handle 213 kW. (287 hp) and 355 Nm (262 lb-ft) of torque, which is enough to get this family box moving like a hungry bear after honey – 0-100 km/h in around 7.3 seconds, although with the extra lift and heavy tires perhaps a bit slower. The transmission is a 9-speed automatic, and the drive is four-wheel drive, which is ideal for light off-roading, but not extreme rocks.

Suspension lift – 70 mm front and 64 mm rear – it's like putting hiking boots on a minivan. Add 31-inch all-terrain tires BFGoodrich KO2 on 18-inch Foreshadow wheels, and you get a vehicle that is not afraid of mud or sand. The top speed remains around 180 km/h, and the weight is about 2,200 kg. Not a race car, but for van-life? Perfect.

Usability

This concept retains the dimensions of the standard Pacifica, but with a lift it becomes taller and more confident. Length 5,189 mm, width 2,022 mm, height around 1,778 mm plus lift, and a wheelbase of 3,089 mm – plenty of room for a family or camping gear. Ground clearance is now increased, meaning less worry about bumps.

Trunk? The third row of seats is removed in favor of a flat load surface, ideal for sleeping or storage. The base volume is approximately 915 l (VDA, with the second row), but without the third row it expands to more than 2,000 l. Additional tie-down straps and a 115-volt (450 W) power outlet in the rear make this a mobile garage for adventurers.

Cabin, technology and safety

The interior is upgraded with Limited trim: an integrated console, Katzkin leather, orange seat belts, and a perforated sports steering wheel with paddle shifters. The Cement Gray color scheme with Liquid Titanium accents is like a modern adventure cabin – not too fancy, but practical.

Technology includes standard infotainment with Uconnect (supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, OTA updates), while safety remains at the Pacifica level: Euro NCAP 5 stars (for a similar model), with ADAS systems such as automatic braking, blind spot warning and adaptive cruise control. The warranty is standard Chrysler: 5 years/100,000 km for the powertrain.

Fuel consumption remains similar to the standard Pacifica: around 10.7 l/100 km according to WLTP (combined), which is not a record, but acceptable for an AWD minivan with a V6. Cost? The concept has no price, but the base Pacifica costs around 45,000 EUR in the EU (converted from US prices, exchange rate August 2025). Service is average for a Stellantis, and TCO is low due to reliability.
