Citroën E-Mehari – a pleasure car, bursting with freshness

Citroën E-Mehari

If we said that the Citroën Cactus M concept was a kind of successor to the Citroën Mehari from 1968, the Citroën E-Mehari is a purebred modern version of the legendary model, which is more than just an updated version of its predecessor. This one probably has the most varied "clientele", since on the one hand it was a leisure vehicle, and on the other a "physicist" driven by farmers and soldiers. The modern derivative is a four-seater pleasure cabriolet with electric drive that exudes freshness and difference.

Citroën E-Mehari is a recreational model that brings a wave of freshness to the world of motoring. A case of a colorful, (too) bold model in the spirit of Citroën, written on the skin of all those looking for difference and all those who give something to the carbon impression. Four-seater convertible Namely, it is driven by electricity, and its design follows the design of the C-Cactus, but otherwise it has tons of Citroën style features - two-level lights, soft shapes, a "smile" in the front, ... It is a cross between an SUV and a car without a roof (folding canvas roof). .

Citroën E-Mehari is completely identical in character to its predecessor. It is a convertible with a removable roof that closes with a system of folding side tarpaulins, so that we can cover the front or back, only the sides or the entire passenger compartment. But unlike its predecessor, E-Mehari is 100% electric, battery technology LMP (lithium-polymer battery) was made by his group Bolloré. These dry batteries boast capacity 30 kWh and can boast of high energy density and safety of use. They allow speeds of up to 110 km/h and autonomy to 200 kilometers when driving in the city (for driving outside the city it has "conditions" for 100 km). Charging the batteries takes one working day, that is 8 hours (on 16-amp fast stations of the Autolib type), or 13 hours on 10-amp stations (household socket with 10 A). The 3.8-meter-long Citroën E-Mehari will roll into showrooms spring 2016.
