New model launches are rare at Alfa Romeo, so it's no wonder that car enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the unveiling of Alfa's mysterious concept. Their patience has been rewarded with the arrival of the Alfa Romeo Tonale, which is not only attractive to the eye, but also boasts a host of features, including the fact that it will have a plug-in hybrid drive.
Alfa Romeo Tonale is a crossover that can be placed under the Stelvio model in terms of size and represents a look into the future of this brand, which is linked to the famous previous Alfa models.
V 21-inch rims, we can recognize the pattern of old telephones with a rotary dial, which remind us of Alfa 33 Starved from the late 60s. The placement of the headlights pays tribute to the models NW and Breri, but only in appearance, since it is, after all, the latest lighting technology. The side profile could be compared to that of the two models Duet and Disco Volante Spider. The rear is attractive and giving Tonal a unique look that we can only hope will carry over to the production version of the car as much as possible.
The interior is fully digitized in line with modern times. 12,3-inch screen serves us for the needs of digital meters, and we also have a touch screen in size 10,25- inches, through which we manage the infotainment system. The ventilators have built-in screens showing the temperature and the strength of the air blowing, and the pleasant ambient light conjures up a relaxed atmosphere. Here too, we are keeping our fingers crossed that the interior will be changed as little as possible, from the transition of the concept to the production version of the Alfa Romeo Tonale.
No technical data was available, but Alfa mentioned that they had envisioned a plug-in model for the Tonale hybrid drive, up to year 2022 and will be sent to the market six models that will have a plug-in hybrid engine.
