Google presented this year's models of its phones, the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL, which continue the tradition of a clean Android user interface, and the camera, which we have always talked about in excess.
But since people also buy phones first with their eyes and only then with their wits and wallet, we can safely say for a newcomer that they don't look bad at all. Which is especially true for larger ones Google Pixel 3 XL, which "boasts" on the upper part notch. Why Google decided to use it will remain an unanswered question for some time, but otherwise this phone also has a visible bottom edge. If it is below, why should it not also be above? The screen is fine OLED, which is said to be better than last year's, which suffered from color shift when viewed from a sharper angle, and above all, it is larger with 6.3 inches diagonal and QHD+ resolution (1440 x 2960 pixels). Its smaller, and above all slightly cheaper brother Google Pixel 3 it also has a screen OLED, but it is without a notch, 5.5-inch and full HD+ resolution (1280 x 2280 pixels). More dots on the vertical side of both phones comes at the expense of the screen ratio 19 : 9.
Otherwise, the two phones are pretty much the same under the hood. The operating system is Android 9, a system on a chip Snapdragon 845, 6 GB of RAM and memory capacity of 64 or 128 GB. They both have a single rear camera with a 12-megapixel sensor, f/1.8 aperture and wide-angle lens (27 mm) and double front for self. You have each 8 million sensor and one wide view, so there are more people and more detail in the photo without having to stretch your arm to the point of exhaustion or use a camera stick. After all, both the front and rear cameras are strongly supported by "artificial intelligence", developed by Google's machine learning algorithms for photo processing. Namely, Google wants to maintain the reputation of probably the best camera in phones, although for now it is still insisting on a single rear camera. Among other things, they offer phones the Top Shot function, which will make every photo taken at just the right moment. The camera takes a series of photos in HDR plus mode, which makes a dedicated chip possible, and then we choose the best one.
Both are also supportive wireless charging up to ten watts of power, and the phones recognize when they are placed on the Google power supply Pixel Stand and adjust the display of the user interface accordingly.
No gimmicks of any phone, they will be available in black, white and pink, it will not be possible to buy from us. Which is a pity in itself, despite the relatively high prices at the beginning of the sale. Namely, 3XL will cost around 960, and the Pixel 3 one hundred euros less. Customers also get it unlimited storage space for photos in the cloud.
