A completely different and completely romantic vacation in the Marlera lighthouse at the end of the Istrian peninsula

Marlera Lighthouse, located at the end of the Istrian peninsula, in the village of Ližnjan near Medulin, has a truly ideal location. It is only 50 meters away from the sea, it is hidden from prying eyes, and all around is beautiful nature and endless blue sea. This is the place where you can enjoy peace, listen to the waves crashing against the cliffs, watch the fishing boats on the horizon...

The beautiful lighthouse was built in 1882, and in 2012 it was renovated and turned into a holiday home. It has two floors, where you will find three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, an equipped kitchen and a fireplace. As an interesting point, we should add that the shower is located in a place that leads to the glass dome of the lighthouse, making it showering is a completely unique experience. Outside, a summer kitchen with barbecue and a terrace await you, where you can indulge in the sun and peace. The garden surrounding the terrace is interspersed with lavender and rosemary.

The location is ideal for diving, surfing, you can rent bikes, you explore beautiful Istria and surrender to the beautiful view of the islands of Cres, Lošinj and Velebit. It is also not far away the private island of Levan with sandy beach and restaurant, where the hosts will drive you for free. Of course, visiting the lighthouse is not limited to summer. So you will in winter in the warm lighthouse you can sit by the fireplace and the crackling fire and stir up a different kind of romance! 😉

Did you know that the lighthouse is also called Marlera Honey lighthouse? In addition to being surrounded by a beautiful plain rich in fauna, adorned with an unobstructed view of the surrounding islands and mountains, Marlera is a true paradise. And that honey paradise. Many beekeepers have hives around here. But don't worry, they are far enough away that the bees will not disturb your peaceful rest on the isolated cape.
