PC games to look forward to in 2014

The year 2013 was marked by new generations of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Now we can only wait for the release of games that will take advantage of the improved powers of gaming consoles. We present to you 10 thoughtful, creative, action and fun games that will see the light of day in 2014.

1. TITAN FALL
Perhaps the most anticipated Xbox One title from Respawn Entertainment, it aims to overhaul the list of most played first-person shooters currently dominated by Call of Duty and Battlefield. Otherwise, the game will always be online in multiplayer mode, but you will be able to follow the overarching story, which is a novelty among games. A truly exciting game where you will be able to jump on walls, fly with a jet-pack and climb inside Titan while destroying opponents and their robots. Estimated release date is March 11, 2014.

2. DESTINY
The new franchise from the creators of the award-winning Halo game has been anticipated for quite some time and will finally be available this year. A massive online first-person shooter where you and your character will plunge into war on the mysterious Earth of the future. An ambitious game with a wonderful story will be available on September 9, 2014 and we hope it lives up to the high expectations.

3. THE ELDER SCROLLS ONLINE
The well-known Elder Scrolls fantasy storytelling franchise will get an online version. You could also say the combination of World of Warcraft and Skyrim into a massive online RPG game, where there will be no shortage of epic locations, beasts, magical powers and knightly battles. It will be available for PC on April 4th, while consoles are expected to release in June 2014.

4. MARIO KART 8
Nintendo unveiled its next-generation console, the Wii U, over a year ago. However, it did not gain much popularity due to its outdated graphics, uninspiring controllers and only a few interesting games. Nintendo aims to fix this by releasing remasters of the franchise's most popular games. One of these will be an even bigger and better Mario Kart with new vehicles, anti-gravity tracks and improved graphics. We expect it in the spring of 2014 for the Wii U and 3DS consoles.

5. THE ORDER: 1886
In the first trailer for The Order, we follow the streets of Whitehall in the 18th century. Cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages and… futuristic electric guns? Definitely a very interesting game from the exclusive Sony studio Santa Monica Studios, known for the game God of War. We expect fall for PS4.

6. TOM CLANCY'S THE DIVISION
Ubisoft hardly disappoints with Tom Clancy titles such as Splinter Cell, Ghost Reacon and Rainbox Six. It will be no different with the new title The Division, where you, as a member of a mysterious unit, will be tasked with infiltrating New York after a disease that was released on Black Friday (the American Black Friday or sales frenzy). An engaging story with stunning graphics that include everything from dynamic lighting to ultra-realistic smoke thanks to Ubisoft's new Snowdrop graphics engine, making The Division one of the most beautiful upcoming games. The exact release date is not yet known, but certainly in 2014.

7. SOUTH PARK: THE STICK OF TRUTH
The original South Park adventure written by Matt Stone and Trey Parker. The Stick of Truth is played as an RPG where you take on the roles of famous heroes and follow a story that makes fun of famous titles like Skyrim and Street Fighter. Interesting gameplay that gives the feeling of watching one of the parts of an entertaining TV series. Coming March this year for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

8. THE EVIL WITHIN
In 2014, a lot of zombie killing games are coming. However, The Evil Within stands out for two reasons. The first is that it comes from the hands of the creators of the Bethesda studio (the company responsible for Elder Scrolls and Fallout) and the second is that it is the brainchild of Shinji Mikami, who created the famous Resident Evil franchise. According to the first trailers, The Evil Within looks very scary. Released in 2014.

9. METAL GEAR SOLID 5: THE PHANTOM PAIN
Metal Gear Solid is still one of the best action franchises from creator Hideo Kojima. And the trailer for the new installment has fans salivating with anticipation. An open world, a deep story and tactical gameplay, which everyone loves, ensure the great success of the game. Especially since it will also be released on March 20, 2014 for Xbox One and PS4 consoles.

10. QUANTUM BREAK
The Quantum Break trailer from E3 shows an amazing story of scientific experiments where time can be stopped. Xbox One's multimedia capabilities will open up a new way of gaming, slowly blurring the line between TV series and gaming. Like the well-known Halo TV Series, Quantum Break will also be played in combination with TV episodes, which brings innovative and unexpected ways of playing. The game is expected to be released in 2014.
