In ten days, the old city power plant will host a one-of-a-kind art event called Global Warming of the Brain. Aleksander Legen projects his multifaceted vision of the world through a wide artistic field, while looking for a symbiosis between art aesthetics, the event and the observer himself.
A conceptual art event Global warming of the brain is the moment when different artistic genres (painting, sculpture, costume design, philosophy, design and the written word) come to life together and take the observer into a new world of multifaceted perceptions.
In the flood of imaginary importance, the essence of every society is lost. That essence is man. The rules themselves outgrow the importance of the person for whom they were created. A great absurdity occurs. The project is a replica and a reaction to this absurdity.
One man, 7 perceptions. One thought, 7 colors. One emotion, 7 truths.
An independent art project by a young painter and designer. Alexander Legen wants to give the viewer a multifaceted experience. Multiple views of the same event. A two-dimensional world does not exist. Like a virtuoso, the author plays with thoughts, shapes, colors, numbers, materials and proves that all we are is human.
Like his thought, the artistic technique itself cuts into our performance with sharp lines and strong colors. Figurals reveal the human body or only its individual parts. The symbolism is polyphonic and unpredictable. The viewer is not prepared for such strong emotions that it can awaken in him. Our cheeks are red. The society itself can also blush," says cultural anthropologist Karmen Boštjančič.
The author connected with renowned co-creators for this event. Thus, master of light David Orešič will take care of the design of the light, the sound interpretation of the texts will be brought to life by drama actors Nebojša Pop Tasić and Mirjana Šajinović, the mask will be taken over by an expert team of maskers (LIC) led by Mateja Naberšnik, and the sound processing will be provided by a renowned radio presenter and speaker Fedja Juvan.
