Ben Frost, one of the most positive discoveries in the conceptual framework of contemporary music, comes with the album AURORA on April 17th in Močvara, Zagreb, Croatia. On April 16, he will perform at a concert in the Šiška Cinema.
This year's guest at the closing evening of the festival Thirsty ear, Ben Frost, certainly represents one of the most positive discoveries in the conceptual framework of contemporary music. Although his new album AURORA received high marks from all the leading music critics, no one dared to expect something so brilliant and brutal. In one hour, Ben Frost takes the audience to the deepest depths of space with hypnotic light and smoke, alone on stage, surrounded only by electronic instruments. The Australian with his close friends like Valgeir Sigurðsson and Nico Muhly lives and works in Reykjavik – together they created an intimate music label The Bedroom, where most of them focus on contemporary/avant-garde compositions. With the same intensity that Ben Frost releases his album, he also creates music for film, theater and contemporary dance. The sensibility and artistry of his works is expressed through his composition, as well as through his audio engineering skills, which he has demonstrated best with numerous feature and short feature films and documentaries.
On April 16, it can also be seen at the Šiška Cinema.
The ticket price is 8.5 euros in advance and 10.5 euros on the day of the concert.
