Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are an American hip hop duo founded in 2008 in Seattle. They make up a duo Ben Haggerty, the rapper known as Macklemore, and Ryan Lewis, producer, DJ and professional photographer.
In 2009, they released their first joint product, the self-titled EP vs. EP. Since then, they have released more vs. Redux (2010) and with grammy award-winning album The Heist (2010).

Their single Thrift Shop reached number one on the US Billboard 100 in 2013, becoming the second single to reach number one in 20 years without the support of a major music label. Not even a single escaped success Can't Hold Us and Love itself. When "Can't Hold Us" reached No. 1 on the Hot 100, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis became the first duo in chart history to both of his first singles went to number one scales.
In January of this year, Macklemore announced via the Twitter social network that the second studio album will see the light of day sometime in the second half of the year. In August, we could already hear the first single Downtown, which, like its predecessors, became a true mega-success.
