The top-quality Tinderstick, which will soon tick off three decades of operation, are returning to Slovenia. They have already confirmed their reputation as an exceptional concert band on our soil four times, most recently in 2016 with the presentation of the album The Waiting Room. In May 2020, they are coming out with a new, already eleventh album, the release of which is announced for November this year.
A legendary squad Tindersticks, which explores the textures and emotions of its own musical expression under the veil of obscurity, from the very beginnings, from the daring double debut in 1993, a set of excess itself. It is also worth mentioning the duets with Isabella Rossellini, Jehnny Beth (Savages) and Lhaso de Sela and several years of collaboration with the director Claire Denis – most recently in the film High Life (2018).
In May 2020, they return as a five-member line-up, and they will present their eleventh album No Treasure But Hope, which will be released in November this year. We will have to wait a little longer for reviews and reactions to the new album, but if we are to judge by the predecessors, we can expect another masterpiece from the band with characteristic, recognizable sounds, who still manages to fill each new record with a completely unique character.
