Concert: Simply Red for the jubilee tour "Big Love Tour" reunited, also in Vienna

The popular British soul pop group Simply Red, which broke up in 2010, has reunited on the 30th anniversary of its founding for a jubilee tour, which is also coming to Vienna. "I love anniversaries and this one is a big one," said the band's singer Mick Hucknall. The band, which has sold more than 50 million albums in its quarter of a century of existence and created hits such as Holding Back the Years, Money's Too Tight to Mention, If You Don't Know Me By Now, Something Got Me Started, Stars and others , will perform in the line-up of long-standing members.

Singer and founder of the band Mick Huchnall, after the breakup of his previous group Fanatic Elevators, decided to make something new and more impactful, and so in 1984 they were born Simply Red. He named it after his love for Manchester United Football Club, his leftist beliefs and his hair color.
The first single Money's Too Tight released Simply Red in 1985. In the same year, they sent their first album to the world Picture Book (1985). With a song Holding Back The Years Simply Red broke into the very top of the world music scene. Two years later they released an album Men and Women (1987), followed by an album A New Flame (1989). In 1991, the album became famous Stars, which was considered the best-selling album of the year in Great Britain.

The group took a four-year hiatus after their last successful release before releasing their fifth product in 1995. Life. This was followed by a string of successful, well-crafted and executed albums such as Blue (1998), Love and the Russian Winter (1999), Home (2003), Simplifield (2005) and Stay (2007). This May, they released their eleventh album Big Love. All 12 tracks are the work of Mick Hucknall, the recognizable and marketable red-haired icon of the group, who also produced the album.
The group broke up in 2010 and singer Mick, now 55, continued after the breakup of the group independent career and released two albums Tribute to Bobby (2008) and American Soul (2012).
In November 2014, Mick announced that the group would reunite for the band's 30th anniversary. The boys will go on tour like that “30th Anniversary Reunion Tour – Big Love Tour”, as part of which they will also perform in Vienna on October 29.
