Post-punk revivalists The National are coming to Zagreb on July 10, 2018. This will be their fifth concert in Zagreb and ninth concert in Croatia. It is obvious that they have a real romance with this city and country. This time they will perform as part of the 5th edition of the SuperUho festival.
The National, Brooklyn melancholics, are one of the main guests today at the most important music festivals around the world. Some compare them to Joy Divison, Wilcom, Depeche Mode, U2 and Nick Cavom & The Bad Seeds. The reason for this is probably Matt Berninger's excellent baritone vocals, excellent lyrics, recognizable orchestration and minimalistic rhythms. They also won this year his first Grammy, namely in the category best alternative album.
He saw the light of day last September seventh studio album with Title Sleep No Beast, which reached the top of the music charts all over the world. If we add that it is their first single from the album The System Only Dreams and Total Darkness also their first track to hit number one on multiple Billboard charts, then it's clear that The National are poised to occupy the very top of today's music production (if they aren't already there).
