What would you like to cook today? A familiar question? Also to sisters Liz and Sarah Downey of Santa Rosa, California, who invented a solution so we never have to ask ourselves this question again. And this solution is called Foodie Dice.
Foddie Dice is a fun gadget that mixes up the daily eating routine. He mixes it up literally and also figuratively.
It is a set of nine dice, which are the inspiration for creative and wholesome meals. By mixing, the user can pin whatever 186,000 different combinations meals. The cubes contain all the ingredients we need for a full-fledged seasonal meal.
There are five basic dice in the set, each rolled once - one dice tells us the cooking method, the second the type of meat, the third the type of carbohydrates, the fourth is a bonus dice with a bonus ingredient, and the fifth is a spice dice.
And if the chosen one doesn't smell good to us? "Let's roll the dice again, there are a lot of combinations," say the sisters Liz and Sarah Downey, who came up with the idea out of their own need and after realizing that their menu is practically the same every other day.
Foddie Dice are packed in a plastic bag a glass, as the sisters wanted this gadget to become a part of everyday use and to be placed on the kitchen counter.
The product was presented to the public for the first time in October last year on Kickstarter. At the time, the sisters tried to raise $7,500 to get the idea off the ground, and recently the fundraiser ended and the proceeds were - $156,027! Foddie Dice is now available to everyone who would like to add a little variety and play to their daily kitchen routine.
