The Bosch brand and the company BSH Hišni aparati doo Nazarje, in cooperation with the Beekeeping Association of Slovenia, have been supporting and raising awareness of young beekeepers active in beekeeping clubs in elementary schools for the second year in a row.
This year, the "Bees at work" award competition was held in these schools, in which the participants competed for an educational apiary and four families of bees of the Carniola lavender breed.
21 elementary schools participated in the creative competition, and the children created the motif of a bee at work using any painting technique. Participating schools then had to send a set of six children's pictures, which competed in the final vote for the main prize - a new educational beehive, onto which the winning works were mapped to the beehive endings. Over 190 different pictures were submitted to the competition, which you can view in the gallery at www.zacebele.si. Children, their parents and the general public participated in the open voting for the most beautiful set of children's pictures, which is why the website www.zacebele.si was very popular during the voting period. The total number of votes cast was 7,891, and she won Jurija Dalmatin Elementary School Krško, which received as many as 3,078 votes. In the fall, the winning school got a new teaching apiary, and elementary school students delighted the guests of the apiary opening ceremony with a heartwarming event.
The company says that they will continue to strive to make bees happy in our everyday life in a healthy environment. Let honey!
