Japanese photographer Arika Inaoka visits her twin sisters Erna and Hrefna every year and catches glimpses of their relaxed childhood in mysterious Iceland with her photographic lens.
Erna and Hrefna, gentle twins who spend their carefree childhood in a beautiful Iceland, they have a very special date every year. They are visited once a year by the Japanese photographer Ariko Inaoka, who has been capturing unusual girls in her photographic lens since 2009. The hauntingly beautiful photos reflect the mystery of the strange interconnectedness that only twins can understand. The photographer met the twin sisters in 2008, when the then 6-year-old ballerinas attended a casting for a photography project. Arika he plans to visit them one last time when they are 16 years old, and thus complete a project that exudes the eerie beauty of their strange connection. The photographer believes that identical twins have a supernaturally strong bond with each other telepathic connection, which is also observed in Erna and Hrefna, since the twins describe their dreams in exactly the same way.
