CUPRA has hit the road at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich with the unveiling of the stunning Tindaya Showcar, the announcement of the electric Raval and the introduction of the rebellious Tribe Editions. It is also looking towards the Middle East and expanding its lifestyle with designer accessories. Get ready for a drive where the driver remains the star!
CUPRA Tindaya Showcar is not just a concept – it is a statement. With the motto “No Drivers, No CUPRA" the brand puts the driver on a pedestal, as if he were the latest rock star on stage. Markus Haupt, interim CEO of CUPRA, was relentless: “Our focus will always be on the emotion behind the wheel.” Tindaya delivers on this promise with style.
The exterior is dramatic yet refined: a 1/3 cabin to 2/3 body ratio, 23-inch (58.4 cm) wheels, and a silhouette that's a cross between a fastback and station wagon. With a length of 4.72 m (186.0 in), the Tindaya is a magnet for attention. The interior is futuristic: a 24-inch free-form display (freeform) and “The Jewel”, a physical-digital crystal that brings the car to life and connects physical commands with the digital world. Three driving modes – Immersive, Rider and Tribe – they promise an experience that will make your pulse race.
Technical details such as power (kW/hp), acceleration or top speed are still being kept secret by CUPRA. But as a concept, the Tindaya is not about numbers – it is about vision: a car that puts the driver at the center, even in an electric future.
Raval: An electric rebel for the urban jungle
The CUPRA Raval, which will make its debut in Barcelona in March 2026, is an electric city car that refuses to be average. With a length of 4.046 m (159.3 in), MEB+ platform and front-wheel drive (FWD), it promises dynamics that go beyond city streets. All versions get a sports suspension lowered by 15 mm, progressive steering and a mode ESC Sports.
The star is Raval VZ with a power of 166 kW (223 hp), equipped with CUPBucket seats, DCC Sport suspension, mode ESC OFF, 19-inch wheels with 235 mm (9.3 in) wide tires and electronic differential lock VAQ. This is a car that turns the drive to the store into a mini-race. There will be two battery sizes with DC charging, but the capacities and charging speeds have not yet been revealed. Acceleration (0-100 km/h) and top speed? A secret for now, but given the platform, we expect playful dynamics.
Raval also brings smart assistants: Travel Assist with lane changing and traffic light recognition, Intelligent Park Assist and 360-degree visibility. This is a car that combines practicality and CUPRA flair.
Tribe Editions: Sustainability with a rebellious charm
Tribe Editions for Formentor, Leon, Leon Sportstourer and Terramar combine rebellion and a green soul. New matte paint Manganese Matt, dark-chrome logos and 20 % recycled aluminum wheels provide a look that stands out. Interior? The bucket seats are made with technology 3D knitting – knitted without waste. The air vents and dashboard use bio-based paints, proving that sustainability can be attractive.
Tribe Editions are proof that CUPRA can be cool and responsible at the same time – without compromise.
Global March: The Middle East and Record Growth
CUPRA expands its network: in 2025 it opened City Garages in Vienna and Manchester, bringing the total to 12 global locations. It is now exploring entry into the Middle East, where it sees opportunity in the growing economies. Sven Schuwirth, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, is enthusiastic: “This is a unique opportunity, close to Europe and with great potential.”
The numbers are impressive: from January to August 2025, CUPRA delivered 216,000 vehicles (+36 % compared to last year). The one million deliveries are just around the corner, and when the brand celebrates its eighth anniversary in 2026, the Raval will become their eighth model.
CUPRA Universe: A lifestyle beyond cars
CUPRA is more than cars. Luggage collection Harper Collective x CUPRA, signed by Jaden Smith and Sebastian Manes, combines sustainability and design. It will be available exclusively in Munich, then globally from September 22nd. Vichy Catalan x CUPRA the drink brings ginger and lime, CUPRA Scent (with LUCTA) offers a room scent, MAM x CUPRA and bags and pendants. The highlight? The audio experience at the unveiling of Tindaya with technology Sennheiser AMBEO, which is a real treat for the ears.
