Elon Musk revealed two futuristic vehicles - a self-driving Cybercab with innovative door solutions and a large screen, which you can buy for less than $30,000, and a spacious Robovan, which is designed to transport a larger group of people. What does this mean for the future of mobility?
Tesla is synonymous with innovation and technological advancement in the automotive world, so it's no surprise that it is Elon Musk recently unveiled two futuristic vehicles that are once again setting industry milestones. He is at a spectacular presentation in Hollywood Tesla revealed her latest achievement – Cybercab, a fully autonomous two-seater that will be available for less than 30,000 dollars (approximately 28,000 euros). If that doesn't sound exciting enough, let's just say that the car has neither a steering wheel nor pedals. Yes, you read that right – no steering wheels or pedals, just a large touchscreen center console that takes over all the driver's duties.

Shape Cybercab reminiscent of a celebrity Cybertruck, but it is more compact and more aerodynamic. With its small size and double butterfly doors, the car immediately attracts attention. What is perhaps even more important - it will be without a steering wheel and pedals Cybercab worked completely independently. This is the car of the future, which is predicted to drive on the roads in 2026, which it is, given history Tesla's delays, still quite optimistic. But let's be real, we've gotten a bit used to Musk's time promises - true fans will probably be willing to wait, even if the deadline moves a bit. But we have to admit that he always makes them come true, and this time he was careful with his predictions. 2027 is the realistic year when sales will begin.
Battery without cables
Although Elon Musk didn't divulge the exact technical specs of the Cybercab's range and performance, it was clear that the car will come with inductive charging - meaning it won't need to be plugged in. Just drive it to a designated location and charging will begin. The technology is designed for maximum ease of use and further reinforces the feeling that we have entered a cable-free future. Given that Tesla is also developing the infrastructure for faster and more efficient charging, we can expect that the Cybercab will also have superior capabilities in this area.
TESLA ROBOVAN: THE FUTURE OF GROUP TRAVEL?
In addition to the Cybercab, Tesla revealed more Edged, an autonomous van designed to transport large numbers of people. Musk described it as an ideal solution for transporting groups in cities, business environments or even tourist destinations. It can seat more than ten people comfortably, but the detailed specifications have not yet been revealed.
Autonomy on the road
Although the Robovan currently remains without major technical details, it is clear that it will have the same ambitions as the Cybercab – fully autonomous driving. This could revolutionize the way large groups of people are transported around urban centers, as the car does not need a driver and could easily function as a city shuttle. When this technology will be ready for the general public, however, is still up in the air.
