Direction indicators have been known for many years as indispensable components of road motor vehicles. Does this make you wonder why we still have to indicate the direction of the turn with our hands when riding a bicycle?
Company Zarathustra has introduced a bike lighting system that includes direction indicators and brake lights. It consists of a total 20 LED lights. The creators found design inspiration from the pointers Audi's A8 model.
The device of German origin is made of aluminum. For a good grip of both handles, which communicate with each other via wireless network, they contribute leather covers. The system can also be used for lighting or as safety indicators.
Glowing rings they flash in sync and inform other road users in this way, in which direction the cyclist will turn. Sensors, which must be attached under each brake lever, they detect when the cyclist starts to stop, and trigger a red brake light.
The waterproof handles can be easily removed and recharged after use. The battery charge level can be monitored via smartphone apps, which runs on devices with an operating system iOS or Android. This also provides the users with an option brightness and light color management.
The lighting system is part of a campaign on a crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. The first backers will get it already for 79 $ (calculated 69 €), while the regular sale price will be 199 $ (calculated 174 €).
