The saying in motorcycling circles goes something like this - if you can't ride a bike like the ones in Moto GP, you can at least crash like them. All kidding aside, motorcycle falls can be an extremely dangerous thing - and that's exactly why Dainese decided to offer smart Moto GP technology to 'ordinary mortals' as well.
At the company Dainese they presented smart motorcycle jacket/vest, which will ensure greater safety for motorcyclists – the vest is actually an airbag with Dainese technology D-air.
The vest is equipped with seven sensors, which are constantly ready to deploy the airbags if necessary. If the sensors recognize a danger, they will take care of triggering the airbags themselves, while the motorcyclist will be able to concentrate only on the road and possible prevention of the worst.
Because the vest is very thin, a motorcyclist can carry it under or via motorcycle jackets/overalls. It's a vest water resistant, but is also available battery, which is big enough for 26 hours operation of all sensors on the vest.
If the airbag deploys, the motorcyclist will head to the company's dealer, who will install it without much trouble new airbag – the protection is equivalent seven you 'turtles', but it is without hard ones parts and is consequently many more comfortable.
It will require a deduction around 700 euros.
