DevBot is not a model of the Danish toy manufacturer Lego from the Lego Technic series, DevBot is a working prototype of a self-driving electric racing car for the new Roborace motoring championship, in which racing cars without drivers will race. Although it is an autonomous racing car, the DevBot has a seat for the driver, as it is basically made for testing software and other equipment and, consequently, a better understanding of the vehicle that the teams will use in the championship, which will start in a good six months.
DevBot it is prototype electric autonomous racing car for the championship Roborac, which was created as support for the championship formula E (you can read more about this in the article Roborace: will we follow the driverless formula in the future?). The racing car recently made its debut at the famous race track Donington Park in England.

Although it is a DevBot self-driving racing car, it can be controlled by both computer and human, as it was created with the aim of allowing teams to study in detail the thinking of the car and its behavior on the racetrack. It is armed with the same equipment as an autonomous e-racing car Daniel Simon, designer of futuristic vehicles (we could admire his works in films such as Tron: Legacy and Oblivion), which the International Automobile Federation (FIA) stipulations for the chief designer of a racing car Roborac. This will be revealed once before the end of the year.
