The extraordinary Diane von Furstenberg x H&M HOME collection will be available from April 16 on hm.com.

This year's collaboration of the Swedish brand H&M Home and selected designer, this time it's iconic Diane von Furstenberg, explores the synergies between personal style and interior design. When Diane von Furstenberg sets out to furnish interiors, we get extremely attractive pieces: colorful pillows and wool blankets, lacquered boxes and trays in contrasting black and white color shades, luxurious scented candles, posters with strong messages and even a soft robe for lounging around our home.

"The only rule of thumb for home decor is that it reflects who you are—and that you're incredibly comfortable in it." says Diane von Furstenberg.

The Belgian designer, known for her creative approach to colors and patterns, rose to fame in the 1970s. Her most famous fashion piece is shift dress, which was first introduced in 1974. Because it is easy to wear and so versatile, women still love it today. "When I grew up, I didn't know what I wanted to do, but I knew what kind of woman I wanted to be. I wanted to be a responsible woman. And I became a responsible woman because of the dress. And because of that dress, other women became determined." says von Furstenberg.

The wrap dress has come in a wide variety of different prints over the years, many of which are as iconic as the dress itself. And now these prints can also enter your home. Collection Diane von Furstenberg x H&M HOME thus plays with bold patterns and colors: from lleopard prints and zebra patterns in pink and orange, celebrities red lips from the 1977 portrait of Diana von Furstenberg (Andy Warhol) to the elegant print on the background her signature.

"My secret wish is that one of the pieces will find itself in the intimacy of your life and your home. When you look at him, he'll wink at you - and you'll think of me," concludes Diane von Furstenberg.
