Do we still remember the parties at the Turist discotheque? More than 33 years ago, in 1980, the doors of the cult Ljubljana Discotheque Turist opened, which was frequented by many who wanted to have fun.
The common denominator for all was – selected music and good fun. So the discotheque is celebrating in style on Saturday, November 16, they'll be grabbing the turntables Andrej Kokalj, Tomaž Pezdirc and Dragan Bulič as a special guest of the evening.
If there are any from the beginning of the path Disco Turist and it's been 33 to date, then it's definitely a celebration! Vinyls will be playing on the turntables on Saturday, November 16 Billiard House at Parmova Street 25 in Ljubljana, where there will be no billiards for this night, but the place will be reserved for dancing, socializing, reminiscing and unforgettable fun. The legendary themed Thursday evenings, conceived by Dragan Bulič between 1980 and 1984, come to mind, and from 1987 to 1990 they alternated on "Youth evenings" Andrej Ilc, Primož Pečovnik and Mitja Vrhovnik Smrekar. At the beginning of the nineties, the gatherings were renamed Studio Ljubljana or Studio City, where DJ Tomaž Pezdirc finally established himself.
A feature of the celebration 33rd anniversary so it will mainly be the good old crackling of vinyl records, they will be in the main role this time Tomaž Pezdirc, which actually became famous with Thursdays and and legendary Dragan Bulic, who conceived Thursday. DJ Andrej Kokalj, was only a replacement for both of them and it will be the same this time as well. As an interesting point, the organizers state that the old original green tickets, which were given to former guests, will also be available to visitors. A tourist still well remembered.
