Đoković and Peugeot filmed a funny ad that got the Serbs off their feet

Novak Djokovic in an ad for Peugeot

Serbian tennis player Novak Đoković and Peugeot filmed a funny ad for the Peugeot 308GTi, which really pissed off the Serbs. Although it is a very humorous ad in which we follow a young Djokovic as he discovers his love for tennis, the choice of the actress who plays Djokovic's mother was messed up by the Serbs, as she more than clearly does not speak Serbian. Not only does he pronounce the sentence indistinctly, it is also incorrect according to the English translation and completely nonsensical according to the child's answer.

Novak Djokovic is like a Peugeot brand ambassador for the model Peugeot 308GTi before the start of the French Open (Roland Garros) recorded funny ad, which raises a lot of dust in Serbia. Basically, it is a completely innocent recording. We are monitoring young Djokovic in his violin lesson, where he is doing anything but well, when a tennis ball flies through the window and instinctively hits it twice precisely with a violin any note with her more than before.

It gets "stuck" when the young Djokovic gets into the car and Mr movie mom she asks if he's finally starting to enjoy his violin lessons. Djokovic replied that it was excellent. As you will see, there is a difference between the translation and what Djokovic's mother says discrepancy, so it's a child's the answer in Serbian makes no sense. This greatly disturbed the Serbs, who are otherwise very proud of their tennis player.

”Although the idea for the ad is great, but the actress who plays Djokovic's mother was not the best choice,” was written to one of the Serbian portals, and the representative of Peugeot in Serbia Nemanja Živojinović (Euroimpex Autogroup) said that Peugeot “created the ad for the whole world and did not consult with us. I agree that it could be done better.”
