The Volkswagen 24th Ljubljana Marathon 2019 will again this year bring together runners from all over Slovenia and countries from all over the world, and they will flood the streets of Ljubljana on October 26 and 27.
At the end of October (26th and 27th), an internationally renowned running event awaits us Volkswagen 24th Ljubljana Marathon 2019.
Start marathon (42,195 m) and half marathon (21,098 m) will be on Sunday, October 27, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. on Slovenska cesta in Ljubljana, and the destination will be Kongresni trg. The terrain will be prepared for the marathon runners by 10 kilometer runners (Garmin running), which start at 8:30. In the meantime, those who will compete will also compete with hand wheels (handbikee) starting at 10:25 a.m.
Traditionally, accompanying runs of a recreational nature are also scheduled the day before. October 26, 2019 will be on the program as follows:
- Lumpy run – running for children born after 2010 (200 m, at 11:00 a.m.),
- OPP promotional run – running for students with special needs (600 m, at 12:30 p.m.),
- promotional run – promotional run for male and female students from 1st to 5th grade of elementary school (600 m and 1350 m respectively, at 12:50 p.m.)
- elementary school run – run for male and female students from the 6th to the 9th grade of elementary school (1800 m, 1:45 p.m.),
- high school track (3150 m, 4 p.m.),
- FUN run (3150 m, 17:00) – a race reserved for those who do not want to be timed, but still want to participate in the event.
