The Butul homestead is located in Manžan, a village not far from Koper. From the homestead, we have a view of the Bay of Koper, across the sea to Italy, and in the north to Triglav and the Julian Alps. The smell of sea water and Mediterranean herbs will stun us upon arrival. The surroundings are overgrown with apricot, cherry, apple, pear and peach trees. At the Butul homestead, in addition to juicy fruit, we will be able to buy olive oil produced from local olive groves. We will be able to walk through their park of oaks and palm trees, where everyone will be able to find a quiet corner for themselves. The scent of marina flowers, lavender, thyme, sage will accompany us throughout, which will not leave us indifferent. Their offer includes not only a beautiful environment, but also extremely good Mediterranean cuisine. They attach great importance to homemade healthy food, which is always fresh and sinfully good. You should try autumn peaches with pulp, red pepper and salt flower, mussels au gratin and zucchini with fish pate. They prepare Mediterranean cuisine workshops at least once a month, and you can also take part in culinary evenings. Refoška and Malvasia plantations should not be neglected. In the autumn, within the framework of the Society for Healthy Living, in cooperation with Zavod Slovino from Maribor, they organize themed evenings at the Butul homestead, which they call Ob vinu in ku/lt/u/r/ici do confession. It is about the autumn and winter revitalization of the Koper countryside, which will be among the first in Slovenia to receive a new wine. In the months of October, November and December, some winemakers (Vina Koper, Santomas, Rojac, Rodica, ...) will present their wines at Manžan once a month, and they will also host writers and singer-songwriters.
