Swedish mobile cooling pioneer Dometic has launched its new Recon range of coolers, combining innovative modular design with premium functionality. Designed for easy stacking and space optimization, these coolers offer up to 8 days of ice retention, easy access without zippers and features to satisfy even the most demanding adventurers.

If you've ever tried to stack multiple coolers in your trunk and felt like you were playing a failed game of Tetris, you're not alone. Dometic, known for its portable refrigerators for RVs, has solved this decades-old problem with the Recon series. Instead of following the trend of ruggedness, they have opted for modularity and an intelligent design that allows for easy stacking and maximum use of space.

Exterior design that sets standards

The Recon series includes six models: three hard (16L, 41L, 69L) and three soft (12L, 17L, 21L) coolers. The hard models are injection molded, making them up to 30 % lighter than traditional rotomolded coolers, without compromising on performance. With two inches of insulation, they provide up to 8 days of ice retention. The lids open from either side or are completely removable, allowing easy access to the contents. Accessories such as dividers, baskets and taps allow for flexibility of use.

Soft coolers without zippers

The Recon ZL soft coolers are a true innovation with dual hinge lids that allow for one-handed opening without zippers. With 25mm FrostCore insulation and recycled 840D nylon, these coolers are lightweight, durable, and ready for a variety of adventures. Magnetic handles and MOLLE loops make it easy to carry and adjust accessories.
