Don't you think life would be a lot easier if things were simpler? If there were more closed answers to your questions instead of open answers? If the apple of paradise meant simply an apple and not lust? If the silence was simply empty and didn't mean disappointment? If "thank you" meant gratitude and had no hidden intentions? It would be nice if things were simple sometimes.
But unfortunately, not everything is always clear. Every day they imperceptibly tie us to themselves blurred definitions. And the edges of these blurred definitions are the cause of much sadness today. Ironically, despite this, we still unconsciously long for it.
“I love you, but not in this way.”
"You are really a special person to me, but not the only one."
The language of love it has evolved into sets of contradictions that create more confusion about what we really want. People can act in one direction, but think something completely different... or even behave in a certain way and not mean anything. We can go on a thousand dates, invest time and effort into someone who could potentially be our partner, but it's still totally OK to not commit and put things in order with that.
We almost unconsciously assume that the people we love are replaceable. How many people of the "just someone" type do we have to meet before we actually find one THAT a person? It's good to know that two people will not always match, because we change and grow over time, and so do our needs and desires.
But in reality THE ONE does not exist. Because THAT is found in the person, without which we cannot imagine life. Anyone can be THE ONE because, believe it or not, to become THE ONE, you have to put a lot of effort into it. Long-lasting partnerships and relationships don't just happen, they take the active commitment of two individuals, who decided to stay together as long as they could. We are not waiting for THAT, but we "make" it.
So all these blurry situations are actually not that blurry. They become blurred when we create a complicated situation and swim into a world of self-pity and delusions, while things are actually really simple!
