The traditional Dragon Carnival will take place in Ljubljana on Shrove Saturday. This year's event will be dedicated to Ljubljana as the green capital of Europe 2016 and will be named "In the garden" in the spirit of the green year.
On Carnival Saturday, February 6, 2016, it will be in Ljubljana the traditional carnival Dragon Carnival. The Ljubljana Carnival includes a large carnival procession through the city streets and an entertainment program at the Congress Square. Among other things, typical masks from pagan folklore, such as kurents, laufars and morostari, appear in the procession.

The procession will start at 11 a.m New square via Šuštarski most, Pod Trančo, on to Mestni trg, then to Stritarjevo ulica and Prešernov trg and along Wolfova ulica to Kongresni trg, where the groups will perform their performance and presentation.
