One of the most successful rock groups of all time, the Eagles, will perform very close to us, more precisely in Graz, near our Austrian neighbors. The group was formed in the early seventies on an initiative Linda Ronstadt and their manager at the time John Boylana. They recruited studio musicians Glenn Frey and Don Henley, and later Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon joined. In this line-up, they performed only once and recorded one album. This alerted both the public and critics to the band's hidden potential. There was a minor reorganization. They put on the name Eagles and flew on the wings of glory. In the 1970s, the group recorded many hits that have now become almost nationalized all over the world. Their repertoire includes unforgettable songs such as Take It Easy, Witchy Woman, Tequila Sunrise, The Best Of My Love, Lyin' Eyes, New Kid in Town and the unforgettable hit Hotel California, which is a must-do homework for every budding guitarist. A period of calm followed, lasting almost fifteen years. Then they got together again Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmitt and started making music together again. Just over three years ago, the band released a new album and called it Long Road Out of Eden. After almost three decades, they released their first studio album and embarked on a European tour that really impressed. This year they are coming to Graz, where we will surely hear all the great hits, both old and new.
