In the middle of the 1960s, the Jaguar XJ13 prototype was presented - but, unfortunately, it came too late, as the homologation rules of the FIA organization had already changed. The athlete, who was supposed to sweep the legendary race of Le Mans with the competition represented by Porsche, Ferrari and Ford, did not taste racing adrenaline. And now it's coming back!
The Jaguar XJ13 never tasted the feeling of victory or the racing adrenaline of a 24-hour test, but it was given the respect it deserved - a Scottish company Ecurie Ecosse, which has been a part of motor racing for many years, has now decided to build a car in the spirit of the legendary Jaguar XJ13.
Ecurie Ecosse LM69 it is made to the specifications that a car would have in 1969 – even though it's racetrack based, it's an LM69 by road legal. They will only produce 25 copies, and built into it centrally located 5.0 liter, 5.3 liter or 7.3 liter V 12 cylinder engine.
LM69, as we mentioned above, is made by specifications and of the rules, which were valid in 1969 – this means that the car doesn't have modern ones systems, as we are used to in today's cars. Modern improvements, which the 'replica' received, are found mainly in the form wider ones tires and use composite materials, which make the car easier (compared to its 'predecessor').
The limited edition and historic pedigree certainly add to the price, which is otherwise unknown but certain it is not small.
