Een Til Een: the world's first biological house

The first biological house in the world

Humanity has always been driven forward by curiosity, innovation, creativity, if you will. How could we do this and that better, easier and with less consumption or lower costs. And it is no different when it comes to our homes. For the house that we will present to you, it even seems for a moment that they got the idea from long, long ago.

Danish architecture studio One Til One stands for the first biological house, which was placed in Middlefart in Denmark. In the market of environmentally friendly construction, this is certainly an exceptional acquisition. The architects at Een Til Een mainly dealt with building materials, the airiness of the interior spaces and modularity.

For agricultural residues were used for the frame of the house, which is usually thrown away or used for firewood. Grass, straw and seaweed they will be like that at the biological house replaced bricks. The exterior of the house, or rather the facade, is decorated with extremely popular Scandinavian teak. We also mentioned modularity, which means that the house can be adapted to each individual, and also, once it is built, you will be able to move it (tear it down and put it back up) from location to location. Instead of concrete foundations, which are particularly burdensome for the environment, the house with or screwed into the ground.

If we want to live more in harmony with nature and put less burden on the environment, a biological house is definitely a step in the right direction.
