The combination of a retro look and a modern electric drive is nothing new, but every now and then we are surprised by a prototype that really catches our attention. The prototype Elegend EL1 got its design inspiration from the legendary Audi Sport Quattro, and it will of course be powered by electricity.
The Elegend company comes from Beilngries, Bavaria, whose goal is to transfer the analog primal instincts of emotional driving to the digital world and revolutionize the e-sports car market. Their first product Legend EL1, combines the retro look of the legendary Audi racing car, with four-wheel drive and electric 600 kW of power (805 horsepower). According to reports, the EL1 will need to accelerate to 100 km/h 2.8 seconds and had the highest speed 255 km/h. At the moment, only computer sketches and an exhibition model are available, so we will have to wait for the actual car in the flesh to see if the stated capabilities are true.
Elegend EL1 will have a capacity battery 90 kWh, which will have enough energy for up to 400 kilometers a long way. The story will be different when driving, as there should be enough energy for two laps on the famous Nürburgring track (41.6 kilometers). Thanks to the carbon fiber, the EL1 will weigh 1,680 kilograms. It will only be available 30 copies, but for each individual it will be necessary to deduct in Germany 890,000 euros.
