We got the first BMW M8! And it really is the first, because the 8 Series, from the 90s of the last century, never carried the additional M badge. And what does the most powerful eight yet bring us? Let us give you a hint, there are as many as three models and one is particularly brutal!
Under the hood BMW M8 is hiding 4.4 liter V 8 cylinder with a double turbine, which we already met with the BMW M5. It produces 600 (441 kW) horsepower and enviable 750 newton meters of torque. Such an engine is found in the 'standard' version of the BMW M8, but if that's not enough for you, you can imagine the brutal M8 Competition. In this case, the motor will be wound on 625 (460 kW) horses and represents an extremely fast "grand tourer". This was also the case with the M5 model, and the M8 brings a significant difference. You can also think of it 'above without'. Regardless of the model, the BMW M8 is available with an automatic 8-speed Steptronic transmission and xDrive four-wheel drive, which will take you from 0 to 100 km/h driven into the le 3.3 seconds. From this number, the M8 Competition Coupé will be for a tenth faster, and the M8 Convertible for a tenth slower.
The speed of the BMW M8 is electronically limited to 250 km/h, but if you decide to M Drivers Package, and you will be able to rush to 305 km/h. The aforementioned capabilities place the BMW M8 among the elite GT cars. By the numbers, it is better than Aston Martin Vantage and is not far behind Ferrari 812 Superfast. The design of the BMW M8 has not changed drastically, but it has noticeable more aggressive. 20-inch the rims are self-evident, but if you wish, you can enrich the exterior with a package M Carbon. The BMW M8 will be presented live at the end of the month, which will be even more warmed up upcoming hot summer days.
