The results of the first tests of the Euro NCAP organization in 2017 are known. At the beginning of the year, two Volvos were tested, which proved themselves extremely well. The Volvo S90 and Volvo V90 were named among the safest cars in the history of Euro NCAP tests.

Limousine and station wagon from the 90 series, both achieved five stars and follow the path of the model Volvo XC90, who was the first to get the maximum number of points (6) for automatic emergency braking in the event of a collision. The S90 and V90 also received six points for automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. The system was tested in three different situations, namely when a pedestrian runs from the left and right and when a child runs from the right between two cars.

They also showed up with a system for keeping the vehicle within the lane and system for automatic speed control, which are installed as standard.
