Every child deserves a carefree holiday - the Wink at the Sun program is starting again

The month of February will be charitable again this year. ZPMS and OMV Slovenia unite once again in the humanitarian program Pomežik suncu moči, and they believe that with the help of stand-up comedian Tino Vodopivec and actor Niko Škrlec as project ambassadors, this year they will once again put a smile on the faces of many children who will experience sea vacations for the first time.

Each of us can't wait for the first jump into the water, the first ice cream on the promenade and the friends we meet on vacation. Things that we take for granted are out of reach for many people. Last year many families were faced with a difficult test, but we Slovenians proved that we are ready to help each other and contribute to the fact that many children saw the waves of the sea live for the first time. With the same goal, the humanitarian program Wink at the Sun® at ZPMS they are starting this year as well. "This year's summer vacation will probably be the greatest gift we will give to children and young people. We are sure that we will be able to take them safely on vacation in the summer. Last year, despite the situation we found ourselves in, we managed to make 6,902 children from socially disadvantaged families smile during the holidays." says Breda Krašna, general secretary of ZPMS.

A faithful partner of the humanitarian program Wink at the Sun® is also this year OMV Slovenia, which traditionally connects the seven years of its existence with this Loyalty club OMV SMILE & DRIVE. So this year, with the youngest in mind, they will join forces with their members of the loyalty club ter from Monday 25 January until 28 February 2021, made it possible to donate loyalty points, which guests receive with every purchase at the service, to charity. This year, the purpose will be twofold - one part will take children on vacation who would otherwise not be able to afford a vacation, and the other part of the funds will be allocated to food stamps.

"I can't imagine a better way to celebrate the birthday of the OMV SMILE & DRIVE Loyalty Club than by helping the youngest. In light of this, once again this year as a company we will donate one million loyalty points at the start of the campaign and thus open the month when we most join forces with our members of the Loyalty Club for the benefit of young people. I am glad that we are the only one in Slovenia to make this kind of donation possible with the help of membership in the Loyalty Club. Every year we prove that we can do more and better, and I believe that this will be the case this time as well. The long-standing partnership with ZPMS in various projects was also upgraded four years ago with the Pomežik soncu® program, and this year we plan to further strengthen it and instill additional motivation in young people to overcome a challenging period." she said Vanja Lombar, general director of OMV Slovenia.

All club members can donate their loyalty points until the end of February in person with every purchase at any OMV service station, via the website or with the help of the OMV SMILE & DRIVE mobile application. Your points they can donate multiple times, always at least 50 points at a time. "Thank you to the members of the Loyalty Club OMV SMILE & DRIVE and OMV Slovenia for supporting the humanitarian program Pomežik soncu® and co-creating a good and happy life for our children and young people." says Breda Krašna.
