Our Dear Car, The First Century of Automobiles in Slovenia is an exhibition that brings the development of automobile traffic closer to the visitor through three characteristic periods.
The exhibition shows the development of automobile transport through three characteristic periods – up to World War I, between the two wars and from World War II to independence. At the exhibition, we will be able to see typical examples of vehicles and the most recognizable parts of cars. Ten cars will be exhibited, including Austro Daimler, Ford T, Zastava 600D and Fičo and a children's car, as well as five-engine bikes, including a pre-WW1 Torpedo, a pre-WW2 racing DKW that continued to be used for years afterwards, the popular Tomos T12 and others. The real magnet for connoisseurs will be the Piccolo car on display, which is considered one of the oldest preserved cars in Slovenia. All exhibited cars will be accompanied by a video about its production, purpose and use.
