When a Chinese tech giant decides to give the Maybach and Rolls-Royce a run for their money, we know something is about to emerge that will push the boundaries of luxury. Fasten your seatbelts, the Huawei Maextra S800 is here.

Who would have imagined a few years ago that Huawei – a symbol of digital connectivity – began to challenge names like Rolls-Royce and Mercedes-Maybach? First product – Huawei Mate S800.

Although Huawei has been present in the automotive world for some time as a supplier of software and autonomous driving systems, the Huawei Maextro S800 is the first true automotive masterpiece to bear its stamp.

The collaboration with JAC Motors (one of China's leading automotive groups) is no coincidence. JAC brings experience in chassis and electric vehicle manufacturing, while Huawei brings its expertise in digital architecture, AI and UX design. The result? A vehicle that not only offers transportation, but also a digital oasis on four wheels.

Big, confident, almost arrogant – just as it should be – Huawei Maextro S800

At 5,480 mm long and 2,000 mm wide, the Huawei Maextro S800s certainly takes up space – both physically and symbolically. It's 10 mm longer than a Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and barely shorter than the colossus Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Despite its imposing dimensions, the designers did not resort to classic massiveness, but created an elegant silhouette with flowing lines, highlighted by the characteristic “Milky Way” light units. The icing on the cake is the 21-inch wheels in the shape of an elegant “pie” pattern, offering a subtle reference to iconic British luxury brands.

And the color combinations? You can think of soft gold tones, emerald green gradients, or timeless black that reflects every light like a shining mirror.

The interior of the Huawei Maextro S800, where technology and craftsmanship coexist in harmony

If the exterior doesn't convince you, the interior certainly will.
Upon entering the Huawei Maextra S800, you are greeted by a digital cathedral - three screens (gauge, infotainment, and passenger display) are stretched across the dashboard, almost like a replica of Mercedes' Hyperscreen, with its own Chinese twist.

Everything is wrapped in the finest materials: nappa leather, suede surfaces, hand-brushed wood and cold-brushed metal details. In the rear seats, you will find individual armchairs with massage function, cooling and heating, and between them a luxurious console with built-in tables, a refrigerator and crystal glass holders.

The roof is dotted with LED stars, just like in a Rolls-Royce, giving the feeling of driving under the open sky. And as they say: if you have to wait in rush hour, it should be in the Maextra S800.

Under the hood of the Huawei Maextro S800: raw power and smart efficiency

Huawei offers the Huawei Maextro S800 in two drive versions:

  • Fully electric version (BEV):
Three electric motors, total power 635 kW (852 hp), acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in an astonishing 3.5 seconds. A battery with a capacity of 94.4 kWh allows a range of up to 702 km (436 miles) according to the Chinese CLTC standard, which in reality means about 600 km of European range.
  • Extended Range (EREV):
Two electric motors (390 kW or 523 hp) and an additional 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine that acts as a generator. A 63.3 kWh battery with an electric range of 258–311 km (160–193 miles), the perfect solution for those who are not yet ready to completely abandon the world of charging stations.

And of course – fast charging! Charge your battery from 10 % to 80 % in just 12 minutes. Before you finish your coffee order at the drive-thru, you're almost ready to go.

Price: a dream that (for now) remains a bit cheaper

In China, the Huawei Maextro S800 costs 1 to 1.5 million yuan ($137,000–206,000 or €129,000–194,000).
But if you wanted to see it on European roads (taking into account taxes, homologations, CO₂ taxes and a bit of European prestige), the price would quickly rise to 250,000 to 370,000 EUR.

For that money, you also get a top-of-the-line Mercedes-Maybach S580 4MATIC – but the Maextro offers something fresh, something bold, and something incredibly “high-tech” that classic players are still chasing.

Conclusion: Huawei Maextro S800 is not a copy, but a manifesto of the future

Although it is Huawei The Maextro S800 found inspiration from the best (and doesn't even hide it), that's not a bad thing. On the contrary - it's proof that the future of luxury is no longer exclusively the domain of Europe or the US. China is creating its own prestige, with its own language, its own aesthetics and, above all, its own technology.

Huawei Mate S800 It is a car for those who want to be ahead of their time, who don't look back on tradition, but rather co-create it.
And when this wonder one day arrives on Slovenian roads, you will know - the world has changed.
