Fantastic restaurant The fantastic restaurant Oaxen Krog & Slip in Stockholm combines nautical and antique elements.

Fantastic restaurant Oaxen Circle & Slip opened its doors in the old harbor in Stockholm in 2013. The new building designed by Mats Fahlander and Agneta Pettersson it has a bright yellow facade made of corrugated sheet metal and opens completely towards the harbor with a glazed wall. Both the exterior and interior of the building are designed in a 'port' style.

The interior design concept is Scandinavian minimalist with nautical accessories such as boats hanging from the ceiling. Antique furniture, porcelain and accessories give the room a nostalgic touch. Food is served on used school desks, and chairs were found in a closed theater. Despite the antique additions, the room feels modern and fresh due to its brightness.

The restaurant serves food made from locally grown ingredients, paired with wines from boutique European producers. The owners have been engaged in this type of business since 1994, when they rented a small restaurant. In the course of running the business, they learned everything about food, ingredients and wines and thus ensured that they always offered the best possible to their guests. The restaurant soon gained a reputation, and so they soon bought the restaurant, later sold it and finally opened a larger restaurant, Oaxen Krog & Slip.
