For 30 years, the Druga Godba festival has served us with music from all over the world. This year will be no different, despite the enviable jubilee.
The Second Band Festival has hosted many musicians from around the world since 1984 and catered to all those who like "different" music. Last year they introduced a relatively new system of buying tickets for the Slovenian capital, as we could buy a festival ticket and enjoy all the concerts with one festival ticket. It will be the same this year. In the advance sale, we will deduct 25 euros for the ticket.
They are the main bearers of the festival events Mulatto Astatka, the father of the so-called Ethio-jazz, which combines traditional Ethiopian elements with funk, jazz and soul. Three years ago, he absolutely impressed at the Šiška Cinema, and it will be the same again this time, as he will present his new project Sketches of Ethiopia. He will introduce himself to us Bombino, which is considered a Tuareg world sensation, the new voice of the Sahara. Bombin's music combines traditional Berber rhythms with the energy of rock and roll and peaceful songs. Magnificent will represent the home colors. On the stage Crossword will join him Orchestra of the Serbian Army. Together they will present the music from the film Montevideo, Bog te video. They will create an atmosphere of Balkan hits and folk tunes from the 1930s and prepare a real musical treat for us. It will be the first time in the three decades of the festival that a local performer will be the main star of the Second Band.
