Fiat 500 Spiaggina and Fiat 500 Spiaggina '58: two cars for a special anniversary

Fiat 500 Spiaggina by Garage Italia

In the summer of 1958, the first special edition of the Fiat 500, named Spiaggina or Jolly, hit the roads. Now, 60 years later, we will be able to admire as many as two special editions of the Fiat 500, the first from the hands of Garage Italia and Pininfarina and the second, which will come from the Fiat parent factory.

Fiat 500 Spiaggina is the result of joint cooperation between Garage Italy and Pininfarina, and the result is Fiat 500 no roof and no rear seats. They painted it in a nice two-tone combination blue and white colors. The interior also matches the exterior, which reminds us of the one from the original Spiaggina. Waterproof padding and chrome accessories further contribute to retro feeling. The nostalgic-looking rims and the low windshield give this special version some extra charm, but even more than that, we were attracted by the 'luggage' part of the car, which is covered with cork, which reminds of teak flooring as found on luxury yachts.

At Garage Italia, they address Spiaggino as unique product, but this is not the case, as Spiaggine will be offered to people to purchase. Customers will be able to get a car with any engine, which can be ordered from the Fiat 500. To ensure rigidity, because Spiaggina is only 'above without', contributed their knowledge at Pininfarina and ensured it adequate strength.

Because the special edition Fiat 500 Spiaggina might be too much outstanding, will also be available Fiat 500 Spiaggina '58, which they will make at Fiat in just 1,958 copies, which is also the year that Spiaggina was first time presented. It will only be possible to order it as convertible in a special Volare Blue color, which will be combined with an ivory-colored roof and an elegant white stripe on the sides of the car. Chrome side mirrors, retro 16-inch wheels and the Spiaggina '58 inscription nicely complete the exterior of this anniversary version. Here, too, the interior is the same color as the exterior and full of everything Fiat "gadgets". Both versions of Spiaggina are extremely interesting, but each individual will have to decide which one is the right one.
