Fiat Grande Panda it's not just another electric vehicle on the market; is an intertwining of history and future that brings a breath of fresh air to the world of city cars. The new vehicle takes its inspiration from the original boxy design of the Fiat Panda, but is fully adapted for the electric age. With a length of 3.99 meters (which is more than 300 mm longer than the current Panda and almost 600 mm longer than the classic model), the Grande Panda maintains compactness, but offers more space and comfort.

Fiat Grande Panda is built on a platform CMP Smart Car, which is shared with other models of the Stellantis group, such as the Citroën ë-C3. While Fiat has yet to reveal all the technical details, the Grande Panda is expected to share a powertrain with the ë-C3, meaning it will have an 83kW electric motor and a 44kWh LFP battery pack, which could allow for a range of around 320km (200 miles). DC charging will likely reach speeds of 100kW, allowing a 20% to 80% to charge in less than 30 minutes.

Fiat emphasizes the strategic importance Grande Panda in its press release, as it marks the brand's shift towards global platforms and a unified design language. The new design includes sharp lines, boldly designed fenders and pixelated accents. A special feature is the 3D elements in the C-pillars, which display the Fiat wordmark or logo, depending on the angle of view.

Although prices and launch dates for the European market have yet to be officially confirmed, the Grande Panda is expected to be competitively priced, roughly at the level of the Citroën ë-C3, which starts around €23,000. Fiat's CEO, Olivier Francois, has boldly announced that the price will Grande Panda under 25,000 euros.

The Grande Panda will be available this fall, first in France and Italy, and production will take place at the Stellantis plant in Kragujevac, Serbia. Fiat wants the Grande Panda to fill the void left by the 500L and, with the help of the EU, to hold back the invasion of cheap Chinese electric vehicles.

The dimensions of the new Panda are impressive: length 3,990 mm (157 in), width 1,760 mm (69 in) and height 1,570 mm (62 in), and the trunk offers a volume of 361 liters. The vehicle is designed with families and urban dwellers in mind looking for a reliable and spacious electric car.
