Fiat has unveiled the new Grande Panda, which combines retro design with modern technology and offers both hybrid and electric versions.

When we think of the Fiat Panda, we imagine a small but durable car that has won the hearts of many. Now Fiat is returning to the B-segment with a new Fiat Grande Panda, which promises to continue this legacy, but with a modern twist.

A design that combines the past and the present

The new Fiat Grande Panda draws inspiration from the iconic Panda of the 1980s, as evident in its square lines and retro details. The front of the vehicle is adorned with headlights made of opal cubes, reminiscent of the windows of the Lingotto factory in Turin. X-shaped LED daytime running lights add a modern touch, while the black gloss grille with illuminated cubes underlines its unique character. The side of the vehicle is adorned with a 3D “Panda” lettering on the lower part of the doors, a tribute to the original model. The rear of the vehicle boasts vertical 3D lights and an engraved “FIAT” lettering on the tailgate.

Interior: a blend of tradition and innovation in the new Fiat Grande Panda

Inside the Grande Panda, we find a dashboard shaped like a rectangle with rounded edges, inspired by the shape of the Lingotto track in Turin. This rectangular shape includes a 10-inch digital instrument display and a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. In the center of the dashboard is a transparent yellow panel with the silhouette of the original Panda climbing a hill, a nostalgic detail for true enthusiasts. Part of the dashboard is covered in bamboo fiber, including the glove compartment, adding an ecological touch. The interior is enriched with yellow decorative elements that highlight the air vents, dashboard and center console. The seats have a checkered pattern with yellow stitching and the inscription “Panda made with love in Fiat”, adding a personal touch.

Innovative features

One of the most striking features of the Grande Panda is the integrated charging cable, which is stored behind a cover with the Fiat logo on the front of the vehicle. This cable supports AC charging with a power of up to 7.4 kW, allowing for easy and clean charging without the need for additional cables in the trunk. In addition, Fiat has used recycled materials in the construction of the interior of the vehicle. Every Grande Panda contains recycled material from 140 cardboard beverage packaging, a first in the automotive industry. In the La Prima version, the dashboard is covered in bamboo fiber fabric, underlining Fiat's commitment to sustainability.

Prices and versions

The electric version of the Grande Panda is available in two versions: the top-of-the-line Grande Panda La Prima and the (Grande Panda)RED, which supports the charity (RED). The price of the electric version starts at less than 25.000 €, while the hybrid version, available in three trim levels (Pop, Icon and La Prima), starts at less than €19,000. The Grande Panda is expected to be available in European showrooms from March 2025.
