It was directed by Academy Award-winning director Tom Hooper (The King's Speech, Les Miserables, The Danish Girl), who transformed the cast members with stunning new technology.

Truth is the first international project of renowned Japanese director Hirokazu Koreeda (last year's Palme d'Or winner for the film Tatiči). It tells the story of the famous French actress Fabienne, who is visited by her daughter Lumir and her family when the autobiographical book is published. When it turns out that the actress greatly embellished the events from real life in the book, the question of what is the truth and what is fake fiction creeps into their relationship.
